Activity Monitor, Diskmanager, HDD SSD Benchmark, etc...

installed Process Viewer,

similar icon to macOS,

but app is very slow, set at fastest refresh 0.5ms

too slow / choppy.

gnome system monitor 3.36.1 works better / more fluid,

graphics fit 1920 x 1080

system monitor 40.1 similar to gnome

but theme is light forced, does Not accept Dark Theme.

in macOS people love BlackMagicDesign DiskSpeed Tester, the old Not the New.

in Linux a similar Benchmark is included in:

there are very limited SSD HDD Benchmarks for Linux,

for Windows HD Tune is very popular.

crystaldisk, atto, and many others.

some could work with PlayOnLinux + the proper Wine version.

in macOS Sierra 10.12.6  latest Wine version that worked ok was 5.10 or less.

#3. Partition Manager in pearOS is command line,

Gparted and Disks both work Ok.

Gparted does Not detect Mounted Virtual Drives, does Not have Benchmark,

Disks does, but lacks some features of Gparted.

#4. Firefox theme i like the most is called: perfect dark red,

by Firefox user 12345

#5. pearOS does Not come with hfsplus tools pre installed.????

apfs tools are very bad in linux,

the only real apfs for linux is the Paragon driver.

hfsplus was open source,

i think apfs is also open source,

but... the free linux apfs version does Not work in Kutuntu 20.10

#6. Firefox default Search engine should be: DuckDuckGo.

#7. Opera browser only works installed from Snap in Linux,

from sudo apt-get install,

installing the repositories,

twitter videos do Not have Audio.

imposible to fix. only complete uninstall / purge

and installing from snap.

Signal and Telegram should also be Pre-Installed.

because pearOS looks so much like macOS,

people that are using pearOS with a real Mac, like me,

have a mind conflict when selecting what version to download:

Linux or Mac.

nut craker.

Linux (Debian-based) Install Instructions
# NOTE: These instructions only work for 64 bit Debian-based
# Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Mint etc.

# 1. Install our official public software signing key
wget -O- | gpg --dearmor > signal-desktop-keyring.gpg
cat signal-desktop-keyring.gpg | sudo tee -a /usr/share/keyrings/signal-desktop-keyring.gpg > /dev/null

# 2. Add our repository to your list of repositories
echo 'deb [arch=amd64 signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/signal-desktop-keyring.gpg] xenial main' |\
  sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/signal-xenial.list

# 3. Update your package database and install signal
sudo apt update && sudo apt install signal-desktop

#8. Anti-Virus / Anti-Malware for Linux

in Windows and Mac,

Malwarebytes was very popular,

but does Not have a Linux version,

there are many alternatives for Linux,

the only that does Not require registration for download is:

only requires installer to be manually set to [X] Executable.

#9. another very important feature of macOS is:

but they do Not want to make a Linux version, has been requested many times,

Linux is very limited in that area.

there was a nice software called Ksensors, for KDE3, but was never updated to KDE5

the only alternative in KDE is creating a Tab with the Ksysguard process monitor,

but Ksysguard is Non instalable in pearOS 12.0

also installing lm-sensors

havent tested xfce4 panel sensors
